How are humans connected?

This is the first post of my original idea of how I would use this site.

I have been going over the EGG Project for several months now. I am a student of total human connectedness in a spiritual and genetic ways, but had not thought much about how that could be represented graphically. I am intrigued by natural patterns and especially gyres (usually rendered in artificial colored views of the gulf stream) and by the seemingly widely separated random, yet clumped in time, emergences of art forms, technological advances, religious expression, and other human events that are of a parallel but widely separated and of a seemingly serendipitous origin.

This site covers some of that. The most intriguing is a five minute scatter graphic (click on small graphic) that automatically updates right to left and represents the effect of human activity and interaction as reflected in following various specifically chosen data sources. The telling image patterns are those that are affected by events of magnitude (i.e.; natural disasters, lead up to and commencement of war, shared emotion at the death of a notable or media favorite.)

The site is not to be read lightly. It takes some time for the micro impact of "a-ha" insights to settle in. This site and its concepts need to be grazed and followed with a period of rumination. Browsing only results in - "SO?"

For many here it can not compete with Blueballs, but for others the site will become intoxicating as it has for me.

All typos, errors and omissions are intentional. But feel free to point them out.
